Pros and Cons of my bedroom

Pro:
it’s the largest in the house, thanks to me having to share a bedroom my whole life, and then when my sister’s moved out, I got it to myself

There is a apple tree blossoming outside, and I have the best view of it.

Con: The barbecue is right below my window. My bedroom now smells of meat.

And, if my brother were BBQing, it would smell of burnt meat.

This summer, I am determined to have a Quidditch match with my friends.

trollinthedungeon:

I just have to figure out how we’re going to deal with the Snitch. Maybe some sort ‘capture the flag’ concept.

And how to handle the broom concept.

And whether I want Beaters to carry Nerf swords and beat on the other players, or whether they will instead tackle people down.

Decisions, decisions.

this might help http://www.collegequidditch.com/ :)

i’m planning the same thing xD

So, it seems that we've entered a new generation of music.

yerawizardharry:

Where nothing sounds natural and they’re all high on their ~technological~ sounds.

LET THE AVADA KEDAVRA-ING BEGIN.

Ironic for me, since I’ve recently started listening to Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Queen and various soundtracks from Broadway shows, movies and Cirque du Soleil performances.

aka nothing that was faked with electronics.

Why didn't anyone tell me Elvis is highly addictive?

right now, I’m in such a throwback mood, I want to head back to the 1950s and stand around with all the other girls screaming when Elvis played.

Young, attractive, suave, awesome Elvis, of course, not older, fatter, impersonated-too-much Elvis.

When I get the money, I am going to purchase:

- Shel Silverstein books. You know, the ones that we grew up with as kids.
- Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman
- All John Green books
- as much of Charles de Lint that I can
- proper make up
- Things to make my bedroom boss, like matching sheets and curtains
- frames for my art prints that I bought in Chicago
- a cell phone
- a Canon camera. I’ll probably need help picking that one out, tumblr
- a mp3 player with HUGE storage. Probably an iPod
- if I get an iPod, an iPod deck
- more dresses
- a hanging planter, to make use of the two holes my sister put in the ceiling of my bedroom all those years ago. I’ll grow some aloe.
- classes to help me learn anatomy
- classes to help me learn how to sew
- classes to help me learn how to do landscapes
- classes to help me learn how to paint better

Burning Love Elvis Presley

Burning Love // Elvis Presley

Lord Almighty,
I feel my temperature rising
Higher higher
It’s burning through to my soul

Girl, girl, girl
You gonna set me on fire
My brain is flaming
I don’t know which way to go

Your kisses lift me higher
Like the sweet song of a choir
You light my morning sky
With burning love

Today, it's going up to 25C. It's a good day

I’m so excited for the warm weather, it’s insane. I really wish we could have had this weather last Friday, though, when I was out with my friends.

I think that my favourite seasons are the inbetween seasons. The season between Spring and Summer; the season between Summer and Autumn, and even the season between Autumn and Winter.

Right now, it’s obviously the Spring-to-Summer season, and it’s beautiful. All the tulips in our flower bed are blooming, the leaves on the tree’s are almost full, the apple tree behind my bedroom window is slowly but surely blooming, and, if I turn off the Johnny Cash that I’m currently listening to, I can hear at least a dozen and half birds outside, calling each other.

There is laundry hanging outside, basking in the world’s best dryer (aka the sun), I’m wearing capri’s and a tshirt, and all the windows are open to let the warm, soft breeze come through.

Today is a good day.
